Frequently asked questions
What is OpenShield?
A desk for clients, with a virtual phone agent. The phone agent answers inbound calls. The board holds tasks. The agenda holds events. An agent you already have uses its own connection. No email sign-in, and no extra privilege.
What does the phone agent do?
It answers inbound calls for your clients. Tasks from the call go on the board. Scheduled events go on the agenda. Calls stay on the log.
I already have software that answers the phone. What is this for?
Keep it. Point your overflow and after-hours calls at your OpenShield number, the calls that would otherwise go to voicemail, and every one is answered, logged, and drafted on your board.
Does it book jobs without me?
No. Each call becomes a draft on your board. You read it, change it if you need to, and approve it. Once a booking is approved, you get an email.
What does it cost?
Operator is $149 a month: one agent, one number. Team is $399 a month: three agents, three numbers. Enterprise is $899 a month: ten agents, six numbers, invoices and estimates. Voice past the included minutes is $0.15 a minute.
Where do tasks and events go?
Tasks go on the board. You move them along as the work gets done. Scheduled events go on the agenda. Calls stay on the log.
Can I stop it?
Yes. Pause stops chat, voice, and phone until you resume. Revoke stops every agent that signed in.
